As with any industry, there are a fair amount of certifications that a home inspector and home inspection company can receive. At Sac Inspect we go to great lengths to stay up with industry standards and be the most educated home inspection company available in our service coverage areas. The home inspection industry has a few professional associations such as the National Association of Home Inspectors (NAHI) and Inspection Training Associates (ITA). These professional organizations maintain strict standards of practice programs and additionally have ongoing education requirements that Sac Inspect abides by.  SacInspect is InterNACHI Certified, rated as an InterNACHI Certified Professional Inspector, and is also an ITA Trained home inspection provider. At a minimum, our professional associations require us to complete 24 hours of Continuing Education each and every year in order to renew our certification.

Many people get confused about a home inspector. They tend to think that the home inspector is similar to a contractor. While having a background in the construction industry is helpful, many home inspectors rely solely on their training as a home inspector to spot red flags during a home inspection. We’ve heard it said before that a home inspector is much like a property detective. This is so true. A home inspector arrives at the house with a long checklist of things to look at and observe.

We are pleased to say that we have been inspecting real estate for over ten years and it that period have inspected over 5,000 homes! All Sac Inspect home inspectors go through an intensive on the job training and also receive ongoing continuing education. Sac Inspect even goes as far to train home inspectors from other service areas.

Not all home inspectors are created equal. Therefore it’s important for you to do some homework to see past reviews and sample reports from a prospective home inspector before hiring them. Qualifications, experience, training, and compliance should all be contributing factors when searching for a home inspection company. At Sac Inspect we pride ourselves in the superior home inspection services that we deliver.
