The Genesis Project / HUB 801 Event Center – Ogden, UT


The Genesis Project is a church that has grown from a local church plant in Ogden,Utah to a multi-site movement across the nation. When not in use for church services and events, The Genesis Project operates as “Hub 801” a full-service event center, daycare and youth center as well as a home to various community service and help organizations. An adjacent coffee house, owned by HUB 801, has also become a popular local destination, hosting local, family-friendly, live music events. This merger of diversified business and ministry has become a Building God’s Way model for planting vibrant, growing, financially sustainable churches nationwide.



The Genesis Project / Hub 801 is located in a historic 25,000 sf Coca-Cola Bottling Plant that has been completely renovated. The new look has an industrial, loft feel with exposed brick walls and ceilings, wood floors, hanging lights, fireside lobby, and warm reception areas. The Grand Ballroom includes a performance platform, stage lighting, kitchen, bar, and state-of-the-art audiovisual system. A dual staircase leads to the upper east side reception area, main lobby, lounge, bridal room, patio and administrative offices. The west side reception area includes a large lobby/gathering space, media center, man cave, kitchen and nursery.

Shield of Faith – Pomona, CA


Shield of Faith Fellowship of Churches is embarking on a grand vision to redevelop downtown Pomona, CA. The church has already completed construction on the first phase of this vision, a $20 million apartment complex.


The church partnered with Building God’s Way to design a master plan for the property across the street from the apartment complex that will include a 35,000 SF worship center that will also serve as an event / conference center. The new event center will be a hub for the surrounding redevelopment, which will include 24 additional apartment units, 72 condominiums, and 12 multi-level town homes. The master plan also includes a 4 level parking garage with 400 parking stalls.

Venture Church – Harrisburg, NC

This beautiful hotel / church complex will also house a daycare and community event center, providing financial sustainability for the on-site ministry. Designed with an oversized canopy and drive-through entrance, visitors and hotel residents will feel completely welcome inside this building with it’s large lobby and gathering space complete with vaulted ceilings, hanging lights, café and coffee bar, patio dining, indoor playground and connecting corridor to the hotel. The hotel will feature an exercise room, business center, café, kitchen, meeting room and laundry facility.



The church and event center will feature a large worship area complete with performance platform, backstage rooms, AVL control booth and cry room. A bride’s room, commercial kitchen and man cave will sit just outside the sanctuary with a multi-purpose room near by. Children’s classrooms, administrative offices, a meeting room, storage space and welcome center will make up the remained of the building.
